Minstrell Recruitment are presently looking for a Senior Design Engineer to join our clients young and developing team of Engineers to aid in taking the business forward in the continued provision of specialist engineering services.

Their team of experienced engineers create both practical and cost effective solutions for some of the most complex temporary works schemes within the industry.

·Retaining walls

·Specialist structural elements

·Contractor delegated design elements

Senior Designer Engineer Requirements:

Chartered Engineer with the ICE / IStructE you must have a sound Engineering ability and like the faster speed of temporary works / contractor design elements as this ever increasing market continues to provide engineering challenges to the construction sector.

Minimum of 10 years’ experience and the desire to stand out from the crowd and take ownership and responsibility for engineering solutions.

Experience of steel / reinforced Concrete design is a must along with an understanding of Geotechnical matters would be minimum criteria.

Temporary Works experience is also preferable however an understanding of construction and buildability of structures, be it deep basements or steel / RC framed structures is a must.

Taking schemes from tender solutions through to live construction projects provides the right candidate with a continued exposure to developing skills as an engineer whilst working for multiple clients on multiple projects at the same time.

The role requires checking and signing off designs as cat 1, 2 or 3 checks, client face to face meetings and workshops, identification of temporary works schemes whether it is use of the permanent works and checking suitability to temporary steelwork or proprietary propping.

The role is also one of developing younger team members including our technician team and has the scope for the candidate to develop and create their own team from the outset.
