Estimator (Structural Steel)

Minstrell Recruitment require an Estimator to work in the Salford area. This will be a permanent position and the role is as follows:

To Receive enquiries, estimate and convert orders into manufacturing packages. Relay all aspects in quotation and clearly define in a hand over to the workshop manager.

key responsibilities

Read technical tender drawings

extract and price materials

decide best process route for the items to be fabricated

establish supply chain costs

negotiate and complete tenders to sales

Person Spec:

you must have expert knowledge of the steel fabrication industry and associated industries.

the Ability to work with minimal supervision, excellent communication skills, the ability to build relationships with both existing and potential clients. excellent IT, Financial and numerical skills along with sound commercial awareness. you must be able to read technical drawings and come from a steel fabrication background.
